Kristen Stewart Promises Charlize Theron Will 'Level You' In 'Snow White'
'Ravenna and Snow White are bound,' Stewart explains in new featurette about their young princess and evil queen characters.

In several new featurettes from Kristen Stewart's "Snow White and the Huntsman," fans get a taste of what looks to be a visually arresting, very dark spin on the classic fairy tale.
With "No Church in the Wild" from Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne album thumping in the background in the clip, Stewart and castmates Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron open up about making the Rupert Sanders-directed film. We also get a taste of what the film, which Theron describes as a "feast for [the] eyes," will look like. "Snow White" is full of epic battle scenes and eye-popping CGI that helps tell the story of a young princess battling an evil queen.
"The director, Rupert, conjured up visuals that absolutely transported you somewhere else and it wasn't at all what I expected," Stewart says.
The big-screen retelling revolves around the feud between Queen Ravenna (Theron) and the inherently good Snow White (Stewart).
"The Queen really symbolizes death and Snow White is the beating heart," the director says of the struggle between the two leading ladies. "This is an incredible opportunity to create a world that people have never seen before."
Theron also talks about facing off with Stewart in another behind-the-scenes clip. "As on outsider, I see her for all the things the audience will, but as an insider playing her I had to not think about those things," she explains.
"Ravenna and Snow White are bound, in a way," Stewart explains. "She can level you," she added about Theron's performance as the queen.
A trailer will drop Monday during "The Voice" with an extended scene also hitting the Net that same day. In a new trailer sneak peek, the backstory is teased as Ravenna makes clear her intentions to kill Snow White.
The film opens June 1. Hemsworth plays the Huntsman hired by the Queen to kill Snow and Sam Claflin rounds out the main cast as Prince Charming.

Antion West, 38
Antion West, a 38-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, March 5, in the 10400 block of South Spring Street in Broadway-Manchester, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
The shooting took place shortly before 1 a.m., according to Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department.
A suspect of unknown description fired several rounds into a car while West was sitting inside the vehicle. He was struck in the chest area, the officer said.
West was found dead at the scene. Baek said police believe the shooting may be gang-related. No other details were immediately available.
Over the last three months, the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood where the shooting occurred averaged 7.5 violent crimes and 18.2 property crimes per week, according to The Times' Crime L.A. database.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the identity of the killer is asked to contact the LAPD at (877) 527-3247. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.

'Hunger Games' Actress Sees Katniss In Jennifer Lawrence
'Jen has some of Katniss' qualities in her,' Amandla Stenberg told MTV News of the 'Hunger Games' leading lady.
By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz
Jennifer Lawrence attends the world premiere of "The Hunger Games"

Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen, though not every fan agreed prior to the actress' casting almost a full year ago. Was her hair dark enough? Was she young enough? These were the nitpicky details that some readers of "The Hunger Games" latched onto, but based on increasing buzz about the film's fantastic quality, those worries should be out the door by now — and if they're not, Amandla Stenberg is here to convince you of Lawrence's worthiness.
"I think they're kind of similar," Stenberg, who plays fan-favorite tribute Rue in the film, told MTV News on the "Hunger Games" red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday. "Jen has some of Katniss' qualities in her. She can be kind of sarcastic, and I think Jen has that same sense of humor."
Stenberg certainly had plenty of chances to see for herself just how much Lawrence and Everdeen have in common. As Rue, the young actress spent most of her screen time opposite the Oscar-nominated "Winter's Bone" actress, playing her first ally in the deadly competition. Indeed, Rue is at the center of what may very well be the most anticipated scene in the film for "Hunger Games" readers.
"I want fans to be happy with it," Stenberg said of her all-too-crucial spoiler-heavy scene. "But being on set though, even when we were shooting such a serious scene, everyone was lighthearted and having fun. We tried to keep it a little happy on set."
For Stenberg, it wasn't hard to stay happy, considering that she had read "The Hunger Games" a whopping four times before even landing the part of Rue. As a fan of the books, Stenberg admitted that she was pretty nervous going into the audition process, even though she clearly nailed the tryout in the end.
"I went to [director Gary Ross'] house covered in mud with leaves and twigs in my hair and everything, so I looked like Rue," she recalled. "I think I made a good impression, because it went really well. I was very nervous though because I didn't hear back for a couple weeks, but then I got a call from my agent saying I got the part. I started screaming and running around!"

Ashley Olsen Quits Acting
'I don't like to be the center of attention anymore,' she tells Elle U.K.
By Jocelyn Vena
Ashley Olsen on the April issue of Elle U.K.

While her little sister Elizabeth Olsen is currently Hollywood's "It" girl, one half of the Olsen twins, Ashley, has announced that she no longer has plans to act.
"We worked non-stop until we were 18," the fashion mogul said in an interview with Elle U.K. "Then we decided to take a break and go to school — and that was when we decided to question whether we would carry on in entertainment. It was time to step behind the process. I wanted to work on other things. It doesn't mean I'm not interested in Hollywood, I like the way it operates and the people who are involved and the sense of possibility. But if I ever do get back in, it's not going to be as an actress. It just felt right to move away."
It seems her focus will be on her three fashion lines with Mary-Kate, and perhaps a move behind the camera. "I don't have to be a pretty face," she said, reports E! News. "I've done that, but now it's important and liberating to be on the other side of the lens. I don't like to be the center of attention anymore.
"We are perfectionists," she added about her work as a fashion designer. "We've always wanted to be closely involved with everything, totally hands on — that's why it works. If we step away, it stops working. I know it sounds controlling, but that's how it has to be."
At the end of the day, MK and Ash still seem to share a similar work ethic. "We're attracted to different things, but we arrive at the same place," she said. "I think we're probably unaware of how intuitive it might seem from the outside. It's basically one thought process shared between two people."

'Twilight' Stars Could Be Taking Over TV
Three Twi-actors are starring in new pilots — 'Twilight' Tuesday takes a look at who could be next.
By Kara Warner
Ashley Greene
Photo: Didier Messens/ WireImage
The news surrounding Hollywood's annual TV pilot season has heated up in recent weeks with the casting announcements of not one, but three "Twilight" stars. It's hard for us to think about life beyond the fifth and final Twi-film, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," but it's clear that the actors are thinking about life after the films that made them household names.
This week's "Twilight" Tuesday is dedicated to Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevre and Billy Burke, along with any other "Twilight" stars who make an appearance on the small screen in the coming months or years.
Coincidentally enough, Greene has signed on to play another Alice, this time in the ABC drama "Americana." The show revolves around a well-known family fashion house run by Robert Soulter (Anthony LaPaglia) that is suddenly shaken up by the arrival of a hot new designer in town (Greene). Other players in the mix include Emilie de Ravin ("Lost") as Soulter's fashionista daughter, Natalie Mendoza and Ken Olin.
Lefevre, who originated the role of Victoria in "Twilight" and has a supporting role on "A Gifted Man," has landed the lead in the CBS drama "Applebaum," which is based on Ayelet Waldman's Mommy Track Mysteries book series about a public defender-turned stay-at-home mom who eventually tires of being at home all the time and decides to return to work and become a private investigator. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" director Chris Columbus will helm the pilot.
Finally, Burke, a.k.a. Bella's dad Charlie Swan, will appear in NBC's action drama "Revolution." Burke is set to play a charismatic Marine who is among a group of people trying to find their loved ones as well as a way to survive when all sources of energy in the world have, for some reason, disappeared from existence. The pilot will be executive-produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by "Iron Man" helmer Jon Favreau.
So with all these Twilighters taking to TV, who's next? I, for one, would love to see some tongue-in-cheek guest appearances by the cast on shows like "True Blood" or "Vampire Diaries." Nikki Reed told me she's dying to do a stint on HBO's vampy soap, and I think if it were done right, it could be both awesome and hilarious. Jackson Rathbone just left his other passion project, the band 100 Monkeys, so surely he could fit in a couple of days as a mysterious stranger/being in Mystic Falls, right?
What "Twilight" stars would you like to see on television? Let us know in the comments below, or tweet me @karawarner!
Check out everything we've got on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

'Project X': The Reviews Are In!
Critics call the found-footage teen movie immature, unfunny and even dangerous.
By Kevin P. Sullivan
Jonathan Daniel Brown, Oliver Cooper and Thomas Mann in "Project X"
Photo: Beth Dubber/ Warner Bros.
"Project X" is the new found-footage movie that claims to show the most out-of-control party ever. Well, it seems like the party might be over based on the reviews the film has earned.
Critics have skewered "Project X," calling it immature, unfunny and even dangerous. For some, that might sound like a ringing endorsement of the party, but when it comes to throwing a movie together, "Project X" is much less successful.
Here is our roundup of "Project X" reviews.
The Story
"In suburban Pasadena, three exceedingly ordinary high school dudes stage a birthday bash for one of them, even though they're hardly the sort of guys that you'd expect to attract a hot crowd. Thomas (Thomas Mann), the one turning 17, whose parents are going away for the weekend, is the dutiful son who has promised — oh, has he promised! — not to mess up their home." — Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly
The Laughs
"It's billed as a comedy, but there's not a laugh to be had during the frenetic mayhem. There is also no plot beyond debauchery, nor characters beyond cardboard cutouts. Basically, it's a setting, and a familiar one: a suburban home teeming with drunken, druggie, hedonistic, irresponsible high-schoolers." — Claudia Puig, USA Today
The POV
"Aesthetically, the film sets the teeth grinding and the eyes aching. Presenting the spectacle from the p.o.v. of a home video camera documenting the event for posterity, first-time director Nima Nourizadeh and cinematographer Ken Seng swing the camera around with all the stability of a rowboat in a storm and unsurprisingly induce a strong facsimile of seasickness. The images tend to be dark and random, the music incessant." — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter
The Parents in the Audience
"But only about an hour in, 'Project X' grows repetitive and starts running out of steam, and you begin to wonder what could possibly occur over the remaining 30 minutes or so. And not to get all mom-ish, but it does send a disturbing message to teens under the guise of 'edgy' entertainment. If you provide a setting and the means for strangers to get hammered, it will make you cool. If you are a young woman who wants approval, you must get naked and give up the goods." — Christy Lemire, The Associated Press
The Final Word
"The only people likely to buy into the oh-so-shocking exploits of the teen comedy 'Project X' are those who can't get invited to their own high school parties. Though the central blowout is as epic as advertised, so is the movie's self-congratulatory obnoxiousness." — Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News

Green Day's Upcoming Album Is All About Sex
Singer Billie Joe Armstrong promises that their ninth studio album will 'blow minds.'
By Gil Kaufman
Green Day
Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage
Green Day have covered a lot of topics over the years: politics, war, greed, depression, boredom and the mind-numbing spiral of drug addiction.
But carnal knowledge? Not so much. According to a YouTube video posted by the group chronicling the sessions for their upcoming ninth studio album, that will be remedied in the near future. Of course, Green Day being Green Day, they didn't put it quite as delicately as all that.
"I'm just trying to think of how we can make people feel more attached ... as attached to this record as we feel," says an unseen questioner (who sounds exactly like bassist Mike Dirnt) in the recently posted 35-second clip, which features scenes of Dirnt skateboarding and playing ping-pong.
"I think it's so personal and it is so voyeuristic," replies singer Billie Joe Armstrong, shown adjusting levels at a mixing board. "And it is ... this is the first time we've ever really sung about f---ing."
And there you (bluntly) have it. Green Day are opening the door to their hearts by singing about the oldest topic there is in rock and roll. The thing, you know, that actually gave rock and roll its name.
But still, Dirnt wonders if even that's enough. "I know, but it's that daunting ... they're gonna get, ugh ... you can sit there and hold the record, look at a piece of art. 'Here you go, come on in even further,' " he says. "The songs are gonna f---ing blow their minds."
Armstrong tries to assuage his concerns, saying, "You're taking it personal. You're taking it way too personal." Either way, the as-yet-untitled album is shaping up to be a big step away from the group's two lauded recent efforts, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, both of which were concept albums about the ills of modern society and Bush-era paranoia.
A February 14 post from Armstrong strongly signaled that the album would tackle all things carnal. "Happy Valentine's Day!" he tweeted. "Officially started recording the new record today. It's F--- TIME!!!!"
